Hello. That sounds more like a compatability issue when you get: No disc/Dirty disc/Wrong region/or Wrong format errors on a stand alone player-but plays ok on other drives-on all your backups. We need to know what format: Plus or Dash,that you are using and also the brand name and model # of the DVD-RW drive that burned those discs.Switching to the opposite format may work. Another option,depending on which model of burn you have,it to booktype.This booktyping is done by using plus format media. It's also called bit-setting. It allows to burner to set the backups as dvd-roms. Not actual dvd-rom,but usually fools picky stand alone players into thinking they are the actual dvd-rom-just like the original/store bought dvds.
